Vision

Uttarayan formed with a goal to bring socio-cultural heritage of Bengal to the forefront. It aimed to enable active interactions within the Bengali community of Delhi. Literary, cultural and social heritage of Bengal flourishes within Uttarayan. The organisation helps the community to stay in touch with its roots.

Uttarayan endeavours to identify, encourage and train young talent. Aspirants within the fields of music, dance and acting have opportunities to thrive. Skillful design of cultural events gives them a platform to exhibit their versatility.

We engage in making significant contributions to the Cultural Heritage of our country. Our focus has been on the works of the great philosopher poet Rabindranath Tagore. Promoting his works and enjoying them in his own words is the task Uttarayan has set for itself. Over a span of 32 years, we have staged cultural festivals and programmes every year.

Uttarayan acts as an anchor to a community, binding it to their Social and Cultural roots.

"Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it."
- Rabindranath Tagore
