Apurba Mukherjee is one person who was associated with cultural activities in Delhi since mid seventies alongwith Sanjoy Sarkar (Babla) who has always been like a very close family member living within walking distance in South Extension.An alumni of Jadavpur University and a post graduate from Leeds University, Apurbada has had a successful professional career.

ALOKA SARKAR

General Secretary

Aloka Sarkar better known as “Babli” to seniors and “Bablidi” to juniors, is none other than wife of Late Sanjoy Sarkar, a versatile musical personality and former General Secretary. She is one of the founder members of Uttarayan. She was actively involved in formation of Uttarayan and took over as General secretary recently after the sudden demise of Shri Sanjoy Sarkar.

About Uttarayan

Uttarayan formed with a goal to bring socio-cultural heritage of Bengal to the forefront. It aimed to enable active interactions within the Bengali community of Delhi. Literary, cultural and social heritage of Bengal flourishes within Uttarayan.
