Aloka Sarkar better known as “Babli” to seniors and “Bablidi” to juniors, is none other than wife of Late Sanjoy Sarkar, a versatile musical personality and former General Secretary. She is one of the founder members of Uttarayan. She was actively involved in formation of Uttarayan and took over as General secretary recently after the sudden demise of Shri Sanjoy Sarkar.

Besides being the production head of number of programmes which includes “Phalguni” , “Balmiki Pratibha” and many others, she also was the dress designer of these programmes. Aloka also participated as a singer in the musical programmes organized by Uttarayan.
